Product Description
SC-3399 can be used for ground improvement. For sandy strata prone to collapse or loss, SC-3399 can be injected first to fully mix and solidify with sand, forming an elastic colloid that prevents sand collapse during excavation.
SC-3399 is a hydrophilic one‑component foaming polyurethane. It reacts rapidly with water, expands quickly, and seals cracks to achieve water stopping. It can also be used with a small amount of catalyst to adjust foaming speed according to actual construction needs.
SC-3399 reacts with water to form a water‑stop colloid that seals water and fills voids. It can be mixed with water at ratios of 1:1, 1:5, or even 1:12.
Advantages
- 1.Low viscosity, no clogging in high‑pressure injection hoses during operation; easy to construct with good workability.
- 2.Excellent water miscibility, avoiding residual water inside cracks that may damage the foam and cause secondary leakage.
- 3.High reactivity: solidifies in about 20–120 seconds upon contact with water.
- 4.Good stability: usable within the construction period after opening; unopened product can be stored for more than 6 months without deterioration.
- 5.Good adhesion to concrete, no delamination.
- 6.Reacts with slightly acidic, alkaline or even seawater without affecting the physical
- and chemical properties of the foam.
- 7.High structural strength, high toughness, and long‑term water resistance.
Disadvantages
- 1.Low shrinkage, but secondary leakage may occur if cracks are not fully filled. It is recommended to inject 2–3 more times after the first foaming to fill internal voids and reduce dry shrinkage.
- 2.Foaming expansion ratio: about 15–20 times. It is recommended to blend with hydrophobic products to increase expansion ratio.
Curing Characteristics
- 1.The cured expanded material resists weak acids and weak bases, and is compatible with asphalt joint fillers, concrete, etc.
- 2.SC-3399 one‑component waterstop is especially suitable for below groundwater level due to its long‑term water resistance and hydrophilicity.
Application Scope
Diaphragm walls, tunnels, box culverts, cracks, expansion joints, basements, hairline cracks, shallow shield tunnels, window frames, interior & exterior walls, reservoirs, harbor works, roof slabs, ground improvement, segment water stopping, etc.
- 1.Filling dry and wet cracks in concrete members, achieving full contact bonding.
- 2.Stopping water leakage.
- 3.Sealing wet joints.
- 4.Injecting cracks with pressurized groundwater flow; can be used with catalyst to form foam within 3 seconds and fully expand and solidify within 2 minutes after contacting water.
Product Features
- Reacts immediately upon contact with water, encapsulates water, expands and solidifies.
- Low expansion ratio, high toughness.
- Strong adhesion to substrates; good chemical resistance (potable water, seawater, wastewater, diluted acidic/alkaline chemicals).
- Non-toxic after full reaction.
